Managed and operated by the CNC, this selective grant is responsible for analyzing technical projects related to the challenges of digital image production. The ‘Digital Production’ committee notably covers the fields of animation, VFX, video games, and immersive production. The AMT supports projects through its Feasibility and Project Execution grants.
The grants are awarded by a commission of experts (through four annual commissions) from the technical industries who evaluate projects according to the following main criteria:
- Innovation
- Technical Quality
- Financial Consistency
- Eco-responsibility
- Capacity to carry out the project’s feasibility phase or to complete the project in its entirety (depending on the type of grant requested).
The Feasibility and Project Execution grants are cumulative and paid as subsidies.These grants are non-repayable, provided that the companies deliver the required deliverables.
81 projects were approved in 2025, including 9 video games projects for a total amount of €525 000.
Feasibility
The Feasibility grant is available to help fund the feasibility phase preceding the development of an innovative product or service, including prototype creation.
Project Execution
The Project Execution grant is available to assist with the implementation of technical projects that lead to the launch of a new product or service or significantly improve internal production processes, including training, consulting services, and promotional activities related to the project.
Eligible Companies
To be eligible for the Support Fund for Technical Projects, the companies must be established in France and not majority-controlled by extra-European capital or voting rights. Their leadership (presidents, directors, or managers, as well as the majority of board members) must be French national or equivalent.
